update : iPhone 4 GSM 9B208 Added
There is a simple way to update to iOS 5.1.1 without basebande update to use Gevey sim or unlock with Ultrasn0w if you can . easy unlock and jailbreak . Its a untethered jailbreak .
Requirements :
1 . Custom firmware for Device :
NOTE 1 : If you have original carrier sim card use unactivated and if you have not use active one.
NOTE 2 : 3Gs users if you have NOT 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 you have to flash iPad basband 6.15.00 with Redsn0w .
NOTE 3 : There is 2 type of firmwares, Type 1 for Gevey SIM card or Ultrasn0w Users and Type 2 for SAM Tickets users who want save the baseband for futures use.

2- iREB R5 (mac users Should use DFU tab Option in PwnageTool and follow instrument )

Guide :
1. Connect your phone with PC and switch off
2. Open iREB R5 and follow olders
3-After that open itunes and press “Shift + Restore” and choose custom firmware (Alt + Restore for Mac Users)
it will finish very quickly

you have to update before monday… download the ipsw from apple… download snowbreee latest version… run sb and choose the latest firmware… then choose expert mode.. if you need to hacktivate it because dont know how to activate or dont have the original sim go to general and check hacktivate then next and then check build ipsw option and next… if you dont need it dont go to expert and just create it… it builds a custom ipsw without baseband update and activated or not how you wanted it
