UPDATE :
If you try to restore with the original iOS firmware and see 1600 , 1604 … error just follow this instruction :
- Quit iTunes
- Locate your hosts file, in Mac OS X this is /etc/hosts and in Windows this is c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
- Open the hosts file with Administrator privileges
- Remove the following all lines include “ gs.apple.com “
- Save and exit
- Reboot PC or Mac and try restore again

Hi. I have an iphone 4 iOS4.2.1 jailbroken and would like to upgrade

already but still get a 1601 error at iTune. I will be grateful if someone
