using snowbreeze 2.8b11 successful jailbreak 5.0.1(9A405), evverything works fine, but when switch to chinese simplified (pinyin/handwriting) keyboard, the system jump out from the application, sometime even goto restart springboard. i think there is some bug there for keyboard.
I’m having the same problem on my 3GS. I’ve found that if iOS crashes and gets stuck in a perpetual reboot, a tethered boot will fix the problem temporarily. Hardly a fix, but if you need it temporarily, it helps.
I get the same problems! Chinese simplified, traditional, handwriting all end up force-quitting the application. Anyone got a solution?
As of the date of this post, any device on iOS 5.0.1 jail broken with Sn0wbreeze is not unlock able with Ultrasn0w or the Gevey Sim. Please keep this in mind. Although Sn0wbreeze preserves your baseband, there is no known unlock method for 5.0.1. I had to learn the hard way. Best of luck.

are u sure gevey can be used??? if so how do u get past the activation screen???
You are wrong . i have baseband 04.10.01 and i was afraid of the same because i had problems older with 2.10.04 but since snowbreeze doesnt update the baseband its the same u justhave to boot it tethered and MAYBE (maybe 80% ) u will have to restart it again so u will make the gevey 112 airplane mode process thats all
I just upgrade using a sn0wbreeze custom firmware and after finishing all the process I use iBooty to boot the iphone and is not working, when it boots it the iphone just start and shows an apple with a loading bar and it freeze right there, i tried several time to boot it with ibooty and its the same, the apple with the bar, i did everything that sn0wbreeze site said and its just not working!!! Someone PLZ help me!!!!

I already try with redsn0w and it said “unrecognized build” and still, the same… I got 5 days with my iPhone on the “Activation screen” Im I doing something wrong or what?! does anyone had the same problem? does anyone solve it?! HELP!!!!

Had the same problem as Krebs. Tried booting with iBooty and its stuck at the apple logo with loading bar. Tried with redsnow 0.9.9b8 get stuck on black screen.
