Many of you might have unlocked your iPhone 4 with Gevey SIM, but if you are still having issues in using Gevey SIM, the site has posted an official video on how to use Gevey SIM to unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.3 with baseband 1.59.00, 2.10.04, 3.10.01 or 04.10.01 without even jailbreaking your iPhone.

Those who are unaware, Gevey turbo SIM is the only unlocking tool available till date costing around $75. Gevey SIM unlocks with jailbreaking your iPhone but if your battery drains out or if your iPhone is switch off, you need to unlock it again and if even if you upgrade your iPhone baseband you need to re-buy it to unlock.[via mobiledna]
But the big problem : Gevey SIM is illegal in USA and probably other countires as it dials 112 (emergency) then hang up.
Likely the carriers will block the SIMs that are causing the repeated emergency call hang ups, and if you change the blocked SIM many times, you yourself will get banned by carrier.

I bought this via http://www.slickgate.com/_p990.html for $10 and it worked perfectly on my
ip4 with baseband 03.10.
Just pop in the sim w/gevey and then wait for it to load up, it gives you the instructions
on the screen, hit accept, dail 112 wait till the screen changes and then count to 3 after
that hang up and turn on airplane mode and wait till it says no SIM (pop up) and then turn
off airplane mode, you get a few more pop ups and then bham its unlocked until you restart
I learn something about the Gevey SIM.and I know how to use it .
1. Switch off your iPhone 4.
2. Place the SIM into the holder and put your micro-SIM on the top.
3. Insert it in your iPhone 4 and switch on your iPhone 4.
4. The status bar will displays “No Signal”. Wait until it appears the signal strength indicator.
5. Dial 112 (an emergency number), as you connect with the call, disconnect it after 2 seconds.
6. Go to Settings and select Airplane Mode on, and switch it off again.
7. iPhone 4 will displays the message “Error SIM-card” and then “No SIM-card inserted”.
8. Click OK, and again turn on Airplane Mode and switch it off again.
9. Message “Error SIM-card” reappears, but after a couple of seconds the signal will show up. Your iPhone should now be unlocked.
After all the steps above, if there is still no signal, power off your iPhone, switch it back on and repeat all the steps from the beginning.
This gevey card is an excellent and cool gadget for your iphone 4. Cheap and quality, hope you like it.
